What is tricuspid transcatheter repair?
Tricuspid transcatheter repair is currently an experimental procedure, where the valve can be repaired with a catheter-based approach. We have access to clinical trials and considerable experience in catheter-based valve interventions.
Why tricuspid transcatheter repair?
Tricuspid valve repair is indicated for patients with leaking tricuspid valves. Leaking tricuspid valves can cause liver problems, congestive heart failure and cardiac rhythm problems. There is currently no FDA approved device for tricuspid leaking. Our experienced team has access to the latest device clinical trials in tricuspid valve repair without needing open heart surgery.
Our approach
Every patient is evaluated with a transesophageal echo to grade the severity of the problem, and patients are evaluated for clinical trials and further management.
Our team
Every procedure and testing is done at Providence, St Joseph Hospital, where a team of cardiac surgeons, interventional cardiologists and anesthesia specialists evaluate each individual case, for a team-oriented approach.
Are you or someone you love a candidate for tricuspid transcatheter repair?
